About Cuba Church of Christ

Love God, Love Others

"A GROWING CHURCH OF A GRACIOUS GOD" is the slogan for the Cuba Church of Christ.  We are located in the small, rural community of Cuba Kentucky in southern Graves County.  Although the community itself is not large enough for a post office or even a red light, on Sunday mornings approximately 200 people meet to worship together.  The word we hear most often when people talk about Cuba is friendly.  We want everyone who attends our services to feel welcome, loved by Jesus and part of His family here.

If you visit any of our services you will be welcomed with loving, open arms. We truly want to get to know you and have you come back any time you would like or to make Cuba your church home.

We believe that loving God and Loving others means being truthful with the Word and showing our love through actions.  We strive to study and follow Gods Word and not just tell you about God's love, but to show His Love for you through His people.

This is a great space to write long text about your company and your services. You can use this space to go into a little more detail about your company. Talk about your team and what services you provide. Tell your visitors the story of how you came up with the idea for your business and what makes you different from your competitors. Make your company stand out and show your visitors who you are.

Our Beliefs

Our motivation is a deep love for God and genuine cocern for all people.  Love ist he badge of all true disciples (John 13:33-24), and the prerequisite for all servie (1 Corinthians 13:1-8).

The work of Jesus' church is threefold:  teach others about Jesus (Mark 16:15-16), encourage each other to be faithful to Jesus (Romans 14:19), and help others in the name of Jesus (James 1:27).

The Church of Christ seeks to return to a simple New Testatment Christianity and unite all Christians into one body (1 Corinthians 1:120; Ephesians 4:4-6).  We believe the New Testament is the only rule for faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1Peter 4:11), and that it must authorize all that is taught and practiced (Colossians 3:17; Revelation 22:18-19).

We believe the Bible teaches that sinners are saved by faith, repentance of our sins, confession that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and baptism by immersion (John 3:16; Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, Romans 10:9-10), and that Christians must remain faithful after conversion (Revelation 2:10).

If you have questions please contact us and we would be glad to discuss any of our beliefs with you.

Our Worship

The word worship in the bible means "to do reverence, to adore."  This is exactly what we want to do when we worship.  We revence God by bowing our minds and our bodies to the glory of God.  We adore HIm not because we are scared of Him but because we love Him.

Singing-Ephesians 5:19-20

Our singing is Acapella.  This means we sing without any musical instruments.  The voice is one of the most amazing instruemnts ever created and what better way to worship God than to give him our best?

Praying-Romans 9:26-27

You are among people who believe in prayer.  We also believe God answers all prayers in one of four ways; Yes, No, Maybe or Wait.

Lord's Supper-1 Corinthians 11:23-30

Each Sunday we take time in our worship to proclaim the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  The bread which represents the body of Jesus is passed first.  Next the juice which represents the blood that flowed from the body of Jesus when he was crucified is passed.  We observe open communion so if you would like to partake, the decision is yours.

Contribution-1 Corinthians 16:2

We pass collection plates throughout the auditorium to receive money that our members have decided to give to the work at Cuba.  This money helps pay our bills, our staff, support our missions and fund our benevolence program.  If you would like to give, this is your decision.

Sermon-2 Timothy 4:1-5

Each worship includes time to hear a message from God's Word.  This is the time we listen to what God has to say and to reflecto on our lives.

Invitation-Revelation 22:17

At the comclusion of each sermon there will be an invitation for those who wish to becoeme a christian and be baptised into christ, christians who want to be restored to come and confess their sins and be prayed forn and christians who feel overwhelmed by the burdens of life to share their concerns and ask for prayers.
